RALLY TO OUST HARRIS COUNTY SHERIFF, MONDAY, JUNE 23

Harris County DA Chuck Rosenthal has been driven from office. Likewise his chief prosecutor Kelly Siegler, who failed to get the Republican nomination for DA. Justice advocates hope that Sheriff Tommy Thomas will be next to go.

He was also exposed as a racist when a court order required him to turn over his emails. Most recently, his harassment of the two brothers who videotaped deputies beating a helpless man rekindled organized pressure to get rid of him.

The rally will be followed by a two block walk to Thomas' office at 1200 Baker St. An ad hoc group called Coalition for Justice has called the rally. A diverse group of
organizations is involved, including Texas Death Penalty Abolition Movement.
